Teenager Charged in Flight Attendant’s Death

CROWN POINT, Ind. (AP) – A Merrillville teenager has been charged with murder in the slaying of a United Airlines flight attendant whose body was found in the trunk of her car in a wooded area in Gary earlier this week.

The Times of Munster reports court records show Damarius Wren has been charged with murder in the death of 54-year-old DeCarol Deloney-Cain. According to court records, he was being held at the Lake County Jail without bail.

A message seeking information about whether Wren has hired an attorney was left Friday by The Associated Press for the Lake County prosecutor's office.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Deloney-Cain's daughter told police Wren was her boyfriend and had planned to rob her mother in early July because he knew that's when she was paid.
