MACY, Ind. (WOWO): A 10 year old girl is dead following a car crash in Miami County.

It happened Wednesday evening at about 6:30 on County Road 100 West at the County Road 1200 North intersection. 37 year old Andrez McGee of Logansport reportedly ran the stop sign and hit the SUV being driven by 44 year old Lori Herrell of Macy. 

Herrell's vehicle flipped at least once, but McGee's vehicle caught fire. McGee was able to escape but, in the other vehicle, 10 year old Sara Herrell of Macy was killed as a result of the wreck. McGee and Herrell were flown to a Fort Wayne hospital, where McGee is facing life threatening injuries. 

Indiana State Police say there's evidence that alcohol was a factor in the crash.
