Third Victim Dies in Two-Semi Crash

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): An Oklahoma man has died following a two-semi crash on I-69 just north of Fort Wayne earlier this month.

The coroner has confirmed that Tirek Murphy died Tuesday after being hospitalized since the July 11 crash. He had been hospitalized for blunt force trauma.  Authorities say he died from respiratory failure and infection related to those injuries.

Murphy was the driver of the disabled semi waiting on southbound shoulder of the highway.

Two others were also killed in the crash as they worked on the semi near Dupont Road.
