Tip Leads To Mobile Meth Lab In Churubusco

CHURUBUSCO, Ind. (WOWO): A tip to a parked car directed a Marshall to a mobile meth lab.

Police in Churubusco received a report of a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot Sunday morning at 11:05 a.m. When officers arrived they found the 1999 GMC Jimmy with 20 year old Ryan Sells and 25 year old Eric Alderfer Jr. inside. As they prepared to search the vehicle, the driver told police there was an active meth lab in the SUV. That's when the Whitley County Drug Task Force along with the Indiana State Police methamphetamine team were called in to help with the case.

Inside the vehicle was a one pot meth lab, along with 15 hydrochloric gas generators. They found meth, chemicals to make meth and other paraphernalia.

Both Sells and Alderfer are being held in the Whitley County Jail.
