FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A bar that was the site of a triple homicide last September will be torn down.

A company has purchased the old Sports and Spirits bar at the corner of North Anthony and East Wayne, and plans on demolishing the property and creating a small park setting in its place, according to our Partners in News at ABC 21.

The bar has been closed since the fatal shootings of three men, but had been a constant headache for Fort Wayne Police, who had to respond to calls there at least 436 times over the past ten years, including a dozen shootings and several stabbings.

Demolition work starts next week.
