Truck Driver from Northern Indiana Killed in Crash

GARY, Ind. (AP) – A truck driver from northern Indiana whose vehicle was disabled along the Indiana Toll Road in Gary was killed when two other trucks collided.

Indiana State Police say 38-year-old Marvin Reinholtz of Osceola was pinned under two tires. Osceola is about 10 miles east of South Bend. Police say he was killed in the collision early Friday.

Police say a truck with no trailer lost control in the snow and started to spin and was hit by a semi pulling double trailers. The first truck spun again and struck the disabled truck.

Reinholtz was found pinned under the front right tire of his own tractor and the rear left tire of the first truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
