Two Arrested for Recent Shootings

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Police have two teens in custody, one is a suspect in a shooting last week on Bowser Avenue.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested on charges of attempted murder and aggravated battery. Police say on March 24, the juvenile shot 18-year-old Charley Allen Jr., on Bowser Avenue near McKee Street. 

Meanwhile, 18-year-old Deonte Young is charged with battery with a firearm and intimidation in a March 27th shooting near Tillman and Hessen Cassel Roads. That shooting may have been an attempt to eliminate a possible witness to the Allen shooting. 

Authorities believe both shootings are linked. 

The two were arrested Monday afternoon near Fox and Taylor Streets. Young was found with a semi-automatic handgun, bullets and a baggie of what appeared to be Spice.
