MERCER COUNTY, Ohio (WOWO): Around 7 p.m. Wednesday, emergency crews in Mercer County responded to a double fatal crash at State Route 49 and State Route 29. 82-year-old Kathleen Hickey was driving her car with her husband, 86-year-old Billy Hickey, in the passenger seat and failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection. They were then struck by a semi-tractor driven by 24-year-old Brandon Dobbs.

The couple was pronounced dead at the scene, and Dobbs did not receive any injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
