Two Fort Wayne Homes Raided by the FBI

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): As part of an ongoing investigation, an FBI unit raided two homes on the south side of Fort Wayne.

 

Friday morning, Fort Wayne's FBI branch conducted the raids around 11:00 a.m., at a home on Reed Street and at a residence on Genessee Avenue.

 

Officials with the FBI have confirmed that they were conducting “Safe Street” investigations and the raids are believed to be related to Fort Wayne’s new crackdown on gang activity.   

 

The Fort Wayne FBI team was assisted by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department and the Fort Wayne Police Department.
