Two Women Arrested after Meth Bust on Richardson Street

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Two Fort Wayne women were arrested following a meth bust in the Summit City.

Thursday afternoon, Fort Wayne police along with several narcotics teams served a search warrant at a home on Richardson Street.  During their search, they found three adults and one juvenile inside the home. They also discovered “spice”, marijuana, drug paraphernalia consistent with methamphetamine use and two active one-pot meth labs.

33-year-old Tiffany Chapman of Fort Wayne was arrested for manufacturing methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia. She is being held on a $53,250 bond.

Police also arrested 24-year-old Chelsea Hobbs of Fort Wayne, for possession of marijuana, visiting a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia, all misdemeanor charges.

The Indiana Department of Child Services was called in and placed two children in protective custody. One child was also taken to the hospital to be checked for meth exposure.  The Allen County Board of Health assisted with this investigation and condemned the home. 

This was the eighth meth lab investigation this year by the Fort Wayne Police Department’s Meth Suppression Team.
