UPDATE: Indiana Conservation Officers Locate Missing Hunter in Brown County

BROWN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Missing hunter, Jackie Bellinger of Indianapolis, has been located. Conservation officers say that at approximately 11:20 a.m., Monday morning, Bellinger was located after spending the night lost in an area south of Brown County State Park near Story.

Bellinger made his way to State Road 135 south of Story, where he was picked up by a passerby. Bellinger then contacted a family member to advise that he was OK.

State Police say Belinger left on a hunting trip about 7:00a.m., Sunday. Police say Belinger sent “sporadic texts” later Sunday to relatives saying he had become lost in the woods. His last text was received about 2:30 a.m. Monday, and that's when police believe his cellphone battery died.
