FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Scotty’s Brewhouse has reopened Friday afternoon after a fire forced its closure Thursday.

EARLIER: A small fire and a sprinkler system leak destroyed part of Scotty’s Brewhouse, causing the restaurant to close its doors yesterday.

The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to the restaurant around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday regarding leak in the sprinkler system, according to the Journal Gazette.  Upon arrival, they realized there had been a fire.  At that point, the fire department called the Allen County Board of Health to report the incident which is routine.

A closure sign and notice of condemnation has been posted on the front door of the establishment.  A statement was issued around 1:30 p.m. on Scotty’s Facebook page stating “Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are temporarily closed at our Fort Wayne location. We apologize for any inconvenience and will keep you updated when we are all set to serve you again.”
