FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – A sixty-five year old city man has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash Friday night near Auburn Road.

Originally investigators speculated Steven Banks lost control his vehicle as a result of a medical condition. Autopsy results confirm the death was a result of blunt force trauma.

According to police, an police officer noticed the vehicle leave the roadway. The vehicle then went through the grass of a nearby business and struck a utility pole.

It continued on striking a ditch near Cannons Way and Kelley's Landing.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by medics. Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors.
