USF Nursing Students Receive $700K in Federal Grants

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A local university getting hundreds of thousands of dollars in federal grants for its nursing program.

The University of St. Francis announced they've received a two-year grant worth $700 thousand dollars. The money will help fund full or part-tuition for students in the master's nurse practitioner program.

The program helps students complete internships, who would have to work full-time to pay tuition and support themselves.

In exchange for the financial help, students commit to work in health care services. About 50 students will benefit from the program.
