Warsaw Man Dies in Moped Crash

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind (WOWO): Kosciusko County officials are investigating the death of 23-year-old Brandon Hollon of Warsaw, who was hit after crashing his moped last night.

Officers arrived to the accident west of County Road 600 East just after 10:00 p.m. They found Hollon in the roadway with severe injuries.

Crash investigators stated that Hollon was traveling westbound on Pierceton Road and for an unknown reason lost control of his moped and crashed.

A witness immediately called 9-1-1 and went to check on Hollon, that’s when a vehicle, driven by 23-year-old Lance Lucas swerved to avoid Hollon’s moped that was in the roadway.  As Lucas drove around the moped, he inadvertently ran-over Hollon who was lying in the middle of the roadway.

The Kosciusko County coroner stated that Hollon was pronounced dead from massive blunt force trauma.

The incident is still under investigation.
