Warsaw man sentenced to 40 years in prison for killing father

WARSAW, Ind. (WOWO): It’s 40 years in prison for a Warsaw son who shot his Leesburg father in the head.

Ryan Daniel Poe, 35, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in Kosciusko County Circuit Court for shooting Ronnie Poe in the head on July 3rd of last year in Leesburg.

The charge carried enhanced sentencing because of the use of a firearm. The plea was fixed at 40 years. Poe also owes $2,500 in restitution and will serve the sentence in the Indiana Department of Corrections.
