WARSAW, Ind. (WOWO): A Warsaw man is behind bars after he sent sexually explicit messages to a 14-year old girl.

18-year-old Louis Shaefer of Warsaw is charged with child solicitation. He's accused of communicating with the girl on Facebook and through text messages. Authorities say they believe the conversations date back to September of 2012.

Shaefer admitted to police he knew the girl was 14, but didn't know the legal age of consent is 16.
