FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): If people are selling you candy for North Side High School, you may want to know it’s not a sweet deal.
Fort Wayne Community Schools released a statement on social media Tuesday saying it has received reports of a fake fundraiser. FWCS said people are selling candy claiming to be raising money for new uniforms at North Side High School.
However the school says it’s not an official fundraiser and the money does not go to the school.
Those who are soliciting say it’s to help update the school logo. Public Information Officer Krista Stockman told WOWO News those claiming to be students were seen in a strip mall on the southwest side of Fort Wayne.
We have received calls of people selling candy to raise $ for new North Side uniforms due to the mascot change. This is NOT a NS fundraiser.
