Western Indiana Prosecutor Review Report on Police Shooting

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) – A western Indiana prosecutor is reviewing an Indiana State Police report on a shooting death of a suspect by Terre Haute police officers in February.

Prosecutor Terry Modesitt tells the Tribune-Star (http://bit.ly/1xvV4XT ) he doesn't know how long it will take him to review the report on the shooting death of 31-year-old Alexander Long of Terre Haute.  He says his office received the report on Friday and some statements still need to be transcribed.

Police said Long rammed his car into police cars and ignored officers' commands. They say Long was shot after making a threatening move with his hands. Long was wanted on a warrant for charges of rape, criminal confinement and domestic battery.

No weapons were found inside Long's vehicle.
