PIERCETON, Ind. (WOWO): – A Columbia City woman is in critical condition and an Illinois man is behind bars after a reported battery at a laundromat.
It happened at Sunday morning Jellystone Campground near Pierceton. Kosciusko County Sheriff's deputies report 54-year old Michael Zimny of Glenwood, Illinois allegedly beat the 24-year old woman during a disagreement over a dryer.
The victims name hasn't been released. Authorities say she was struck in the head and went unconscious. Zimny faces aggravated battery with the risk of death.
