MOUNT VERNON, Ind. (AP) _ Authorities in southwestern Indiana say a woman, her 5-year-old daughter and a teenage cousin were killed when fire swept through a house.
Mount Vernon fire chief Wes Dixon says five other people escaped the house after the blaze broke out about 12:30 a.m. Friday, and two of them were taken to a hospital
The Evansville Courier & Press and WFIE-TV report the Posey County coroner identified those killed as 27-year-old Amanda Robb, her daughter Aubrey Robb and 15-year-old cousin Bailey Robb.
Firefighters reported that flames were coming from the roof by the time they arrived at the two-story house in the city about 20 miles west of Evansville.
