Woman in serious condition after Fort Wayne crash

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A woman was hospitalized in critical condition after a three-vehicle crash Thursday night.

A car traveling east on US 30 slid underneath the back of a semi-trailer, causing the driver to be pinned inside her car, according to our partners in news at 21 Alive. 

An oncoming vehicle then slammed into the back of the woman’s car. The driver of the second vehicle was hospitalized for minor injuries.

The semi driver was not hurt. Firefighters had to free the woman pinned inside her car.

Eastbound US 30 near US 33 was shut down for multiple hours.
