Woman Sentenced in Steuben Drug Conspiracy Case

A Steuben County judge has sentenced a Hamilton woman to four years behind bars for conspiring to distribute illegal drugs.  The Journal-Gazette says Rene Rivera and Rachel McMillan were charged last year in the case.  Rivera had been released after a traffic stop in which drugs were not initially found in his vehicle.  A search later turned up heroin and meth in the truck’s axle area.  After McMillian took possession of the truck from police, she was charged while Rivera remains at large.  After her release, McMillan will spend two years on supervised release.
