Woodburn Mayoral Election Court Case Dropped

WOODBURN, Ind. (WOWO): A lawsuit in the Woodburn Mayoral election controversy has been dropped.

Both sides admitted in Allen County Circuit Court Wednesday morning that mistakes were made in the May 5th primary for Woodburn mayor. Ryan Reichhart sued the Allen County Election Board and incumbent Woodburn Mayor Richard Hoeppner 10 days later after reportedly discovering registered Republicans voted in the Democratic primary.

Court documents appear to confirm that and Judge Thomas Felts ordered a special election for the Democratic primary for Woodburn Mayor. According to the Journal-Gazette, that election could take place on August 4th.
