FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – Congressman Jim Banks announced Friday that the Air Force has approved a request for A-10s from the 122nd Fighter Wing in Fort Wayne to conduct a flyover before the Three Rivers Festival Parade.

Banks says this is an opportunity to highlight the importance of the 122nd Fighter Wing.

Jack Hammer, Executive Director for the Three Rivers Festival, says the news has brought great joy, that it’s humbling and symbolic.

The parade is scheduled for July 8 at 10 a.m.
