17-Year-Old Dies After Van, Semi Collide in Elkhart County

GOSHEN, IND. (WOWO) A 17-year-old is dead following a weather-related crash in Elkhart County Sunday night.

Police say a van and a semi collided head-on just before 10 p.m. on State Road 13, east of Goshen. According to WSBT 22, investigators believe snow and ice caused the van to cross the center line and strike the front of the semi.

The passenger in the van, 17-year-old JayDee Miller of Elkhart, was killed in the crash. The driver of the van was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
