2 Face Charges for Bank Heist Where Robber killed

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Prosecutors have filed federal charges against two Indianapolis residents in connection with a bank robbery in which FBI agents fatally shot a third person.

Charges of armed bank robbery and carrying a firearm during a crime of violence were filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court against 24-year-old Demetrius Worley and 44-year-old Lori Armstrong, both of Indianapolis.

A spokesman for prosecutors says they’re being held by federal marshals. Court records don’t show attorneys for them.

They were arrested Friday shortly after the robbery at a branch of the State Bank of Lizton in Plainfield, about 15 miles west of Indianapolis. FBI agents fatally shot 43-year-old William McKnight of Indianapolis after he refused to comply with an order to drop his weapon.

FBI agents had their vehicle under surveillance at the time.
