2nd Teen Brain Dead after Accident at Indiana Dam

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ A teenager who's been declared brain dead is the second victim of a swimming accident in churning waters near a central Indiana dam.

Marion County coroner's office manager Marchele Hall said Tuesday that 16-year-old Michael Chadbourne of Franklin remained on life support until his organs are donated. Chadbourne was taken to an Indianapolis hospital after Friday's accident at a dam on the Big Blue River at Edinburgh.

Chadbourne was rescued after he and three other teens tried to save Sarah McLevish, who had been caught below part of the dam. A diver found 17-year-old Jason Moran's body on Sunday.

Two other young men escaped on their own from the river about 30 miles south of Indianapolis

McLevish remained in critical condition at an Indianapolis hospital Tuesday.
