(Jeff Bowman/ 21Alive)

Fort Wayne, Ind. (WOWO): Three people were hospitalized in serious condition after a multiple vehicle crash Monday morning.

At about 9 a.m., two landscaping trucks went through the intersection of West Jefferson Boulevard and Getz Road. Then an SUV going east turned onto Getz Road and was hit by another SUV, according to our news partners at 21Alive.

The first SUV flipped on the drivers side and the driver was pinned for about 20 minutes. Both SUV drivers and a passenger were sent to the hospital in serious condition.

When the drivers of the landscaping trucks saw the crash, they swerved and the two trucks crashed into each other. The drivers were not hurt.

The intersection was closed for about an hour after the crashes.
