FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Did you check everything off your summer bucket list?

For most Fort Wayne students, school is right around the corner. Fort Wayne Community Schools’ first student day is Monday, Aug. 15.

If you haven’t checked everything off your bucket list, you still have one more week. Here’s a list of four things to do before the school year officially starts next week.

  1. Get a tasty ice cream treat

Summer isn’t complete without trips to the local ice cream parlor. Whether it’s Zestos, Culver’s or  Cold Stone, stop in one last time.

2. Visit a splash pad or pool one last time

There is still time. Fort Wayne splash pads are open until Labor Day and Jury Pool in New Haven is open until Aug. 21.

3. Go back to school shopping and donate school supplies

Before the school year starts, grab fresh pencils and notepads. To find out what is on your Fort Wayne Community Schools student’s supply list, go to the district’s website.

4. Stay up late one last time

Grab the movies, popcorn and pillows. Stay up late one more time.
