Fort Wayne police search for suspect in bank robbery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne Police are searching for a man they say robbed a Chase bank on the south side late Thursday morning.

When police officers arrived around 10:50 a.m. at 204 E. Pettit Ave. bank employees said when the man entered the bank he showed a clerk a note. The note indicated he was armed and demanded cash, according to a public information officer at the Fort Wayne Police Department.

After getting cash, the suspect was seen running from the scene wearing a gray hoodie and a black coat.

The robbery is still under investigation by the local Bank Robbery Task Force.
