NOBLE COUNTY, Ind (WOWO): A 5-year-old boy remains hospitalized in Fort Wayne after a near-drowning in Noble County. 

It happened late Saturday afternoon at Bixler Lake in Kendallville. 

Officers say the boy was with his family at the beach, but went missing. He was found within minutes in about 5 feet of water after lifeguards came to help. 

CPR was administered until medics arrived and took him to the hospital.
