$5,000 Found Missing From Anderson Drug Task Force Office

ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) _ The Anderson Police Department says about $5,000 is missing from a Drug Task Force office.

Assistant Chief Jerry Miller tells The Herald Bulletin (http://bit.ly/1VUot41 ) that missing money was discovered by a Drug Task Force officer on Sept. 25 and two other officers have since also reported missing funds.

Miller says a security card has to be used to gain access to the room, but it was found that the door was propped open numerous times. He says some of the Drug Task Force officers locked money in a secure area but others didn't.

Miller says anyone with access to that office had the opportunity to take the money.
