KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind, (WOWO): Three KREMC employees found a large amount of cash in a ditch and turned it in to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department. Because of their honest actions, the funds were reunited with their rightful owner.

It turns out a man had been a victim of fraud and emptied his bank account to stop it from continuing.

Kosciusko County Sheriff Rocky Goshert was excited to share the positive story.

“These are three great citizens of Kosciusko County that are doing good out in our community,” he says. “It would take a large amount of personal conviction to do what these guys did!”

Approximately $5,000 was returned to the person it belonged to.
