If you’re a city of Fort Wayne property owner, will your taxes be going up next year? That’s the question that’s being asked as the mayor continues to work on his 2013 budget, which should be presented to the city council within the next few weeks. According to this morning’s paper, three republican city council members say that before the city considers raising your taxes, we should use exsisting funds including 75 million dollars that is in a fund from the sale and lease of the city light and power utility. No word if the tax hike is in the plan; however, the Mayor’s spokesman says he is willing to work with the city council.
