Workers in South Whitley strike over ‘unsafe’ working conditions

SOUTH WHITLEY, Ind. (NETWORK INDIANA) — Employees of Artistic Holiday Designs in South Whitley are on strike over complaints of unsafe working conditions.

They say they have complained to management for months about a leaky ceiling, pooling water, insufficient fire protection, and the building being overrun with mold.

They walked out Monday when crews began doing work on the mold and they were not given protective gear.
