Man Who Pleaded Guilty Sentenced to 25 Years Behind Bars

It’s a 25 year prison sentence for 21-year-old Michael Lewis. He’s charged with voluntary manslaughter in a June Cap n’ Cork shooting.

According to our partners in news at 21 Alive, last month, Lewis pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in the death of 27-year-old Christopher Mhoon.

The 25-year prison sentence followed by 5 years of probation is handed down from a plea agreement from January.

Police say the shooting happened outside the Cap n’ Cork on Anthony Boulevard after an argument started inside the store.
