Purple Heart Awarded Posthumously to Indiana-born Soldier

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP): The elderly mother of an Indiana-born soldier killed during the Vietnam War has received a posthumous Purple Heart honoring her son. Captain Herbert Crosby’s 94-year-old mother received the honor Friday during a ceremony in Florida. Crosby was 22 when his helicopter went down in Vietnam in January 1970.
