PAYNE, Ohio (WOWO): One person is dead, another injured after a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Paulding County.

According to the Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers were called to State Route 49 near State Route 111 north of Payne at just after 2:30am when a car driven by 30-year-old Bobbie Brkovic of Paulding went off the right side of the road, swerved back to the left, and hit a tree.

She survived with non-life threatening injuries, but a passenger, 47-year-old Lisa Recker of Antwerp, was killed.

Police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
