KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – A Georgia woman is under arrest in Kosciusko County after being charged with money laundering.  Sheriff’s detectives drove to Georgia last week and arrested 74-year-old Joanne McCrary after a local couple had filed a report after being scammed out of thousands of dollars by what’s being called a “Jamaican lottery scam.”  That’s a con game that preys on victims by telling them that they have won an international lottery. The victims in the case had also discovered that their Social Security checks had been diverted to a location in Georgia.  Authorities are working to locate other potential victims.
