Two Dead, One Hospitalized in Ohio Crash Investigation

FINDLAY, OH (WOWO) Two people are dead and another seriously injured following a crash caused by a medical emergency in Findlay, Ohio.

Thirty-year-old Devante McBeth of Fostoria experienced a sudden medical emergency while driving on North Blanchard Street just before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle accelerated uncontrollably, according to Findlay Police.

Thirty-one-year-old Breanna Garvey, also of Fostoria, was a passenger and was pronounced dead at the scene. Thirty-eight-year-old Christopher Hook attempted to steer the vehicle to prevent the collision but the car struck a parked vehicle, a utility pole, and a tree, according to reporting from WLIO.

Hook was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Authorities say the crash remains under investigation as they work to determine all contributing factors.
