FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – Blessings in a Backpack is teaming up with Allen County Public Library once again to help feed children during summer break.

From June 5 through July 31, kids ages 18 and under can pick up free non-perishable food items every Friday at eight library locations across Allen County.

Participating branches include the Main Library, Georgetown, Hessen Cassel, Little Turtle, Pontiac, Shawnee, Tecumseh, and Waynedale.

Organizers say the partnership helps ensure children continue to have access to meals while school is out for the summer.
