FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) – The defense has rested in the reckless homicide and drunken driving trial of an Indianapolis police officer accused of being intoxicated when his speeding patrol car crashing into two motorcycles stopped at a traffic light.
 
The attorney for David Bisard finished calling witnesses Thursday after presenting experts on alcohol levels in bodies. Bisard allegedly had a blood-alcohol level of 0.19 percent at the time of the August 2010 crash that killed one motorcyclist and badly injured two others.
 
Closing arguments are scheduled to begin Monday morning. Jurors likely will begin deliberations Monday afternoon.
 
Prosecutors on Friday are expected to present rebuttal witnesses.
 
The case has been moved to Fort Wayne because of extensive news coverage about the case in the Indianapolis area.
