Gas Analyst: Timing of Situation in Iraq Could Threaten Possibility that Motorists See Lower Prices this Summer

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Gas prices in Fort Wayne have had substantially greater increases compared to the rest of the country, but that could change. Average prices in the Summit City have gone up over 16 cents/gallon in the last week, making the average gallon of gas $3.91. The national average, on the other hand, has gone up just 1.8 cents/gallon, making it $3.65/gallon. Analyst Patrick DeHaan with gasbuddy.com says the situation in Iraq could threaten gas prices but predicts the national average to be impacted by just 3-6 cents/gallon.
