Man Charged with Killing Bishop Dwenger Student Makes Court Appearance Today

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The man charged with killing a Bishop Dwenger student as he speed way away from a crime scene will make an appearance in court Monday. Jeremy Washington has a pre-trial conference scheduled today in Allen Superior Court.

 

According to court records, In March, Washington allegedly got into a fight at a bar, fired shots at three men.  Then minutes later he failed to stop at a red light and smashed into a vehicle driven by 17-year-old Haley Nellum.

 

Washington faces 11 felony counts, including murder, attempted murder, reckless homicide, criminal recklessness, aggravated battery, and operating while intoxicated.       


His trial is scheduled to begin October 27.
