Tip on Meth Labs Lead to Arrests in Warsaw

WARSAW, Ind. (WOWO): A tip that came into the Warsaw Police Department about meth activity led police to the arrests of two people.

Thursday might around 10:00 p.m., officers were told that there was meth activity in a vehicle on the west side of Warsaw. Officers found the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. A police canine alerted police of illegal drugs and therefore a search warrant was obtained. Inside the car, officers located five one-pot meth labs, an HCL generator, numerous ephedrine blister packs, and multiple precursors to the manufacture of methamphetamine. The investigation also led to a home on North Sherman Street, where officers found additional precursors and meth paraphernalia.

Police took 37-year-old Travis Johnson, of Warsaw, into custody. He was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on an initial level 5 felony charge of dealing methamphetamine, and a level 6 felony charge of possession of methamphetamine precursors by a prior offender. An additional charge of level 4 felony manufacturing methamphetamine for being a prior offender was added Friday morning.

Johnson is being held with no bond.

Narcotics officers also took 33-year-old Dallas Deckys, of Warsaw, into custody for visiting a common nuisance. She is being held on a $350 bond.
