Claypool Woman Arrested After Meth Found in Newborn’s System

CLAYPOOL, Ind. (WOWO): Around 10:30 yesterday morning, officers responded to a hospital in Kosciusko County after being informed that emergency crews had previously responded to a home in Claypool when a woman went into labor in the front yard. Officials say a test on the mother, identified as Sarah Ann Mills, 21, and her newly born child had shown the presence of meth in both their systems. The infant was immediately transferred to a Fort Wayne hospital, where she remains in serious condition. Sarah Mills was later arrested and charged with felony neglect of a dependent.  She is currently being held in the Kosciusko County Jail.
