Kendallville Airport Awarded FAA Grant

KENDALLVILLE, Ind. (WOWO): Kendallville Muncipal Airport will receive a $450,000 grant from the Federal Aviation Administration.

The funds will go toward runway improvements.

Airport Manager Ron Hite says upgrading to LED lights will mean major savings, as much as 40 percent.

Kendallville Municipal is one of more than 320 airports of all sizes, nationally, to get funds. The only other Indiana airport awarded, Columbus Municipal Airport, will get more than $2 million.
