ANDREWS, Ind. (WOWO): With a growing amount of water rescues around the area, one group is preparing with extra trainging.

The Huntington County Technical Rescue team includes volunteers from Andrews Fire Department and also Wabash County. According to our partners in news at 21Alive, they've upped training to 2-3 times a week in order to prepare for the increased amounts of water rescue situations.

First responders in Indiana have performed dozens of water rescues this summer. Many of the rescues involved motorists whose vehicles were in flood waters. Officials say high waters can be dangerous for both the person in need of rescue and the rescuers as well.
