SW County Allowed to Develop Fertilizer Plant

MOUNT VERNON, Ind. (AP): The state won’t stand in the way of a southwestern Indiana fertilizer plant being developed by a Pakistan-based group. Gov. Mike Pence had withdrawn an incentive offer because fertilizer made by the parent company was used in bombs that have killed American troops in Afghanistan. But now he’s told officials not to block Posey County from developing the Midwest Fertilizer Corp. on its own.
